2025 Song Fu Hangzhou Year Jingshan Blessings Event Opens

Chinese New Year is approaching and the festive atmosphere is getting stronger. Prayers, garden tours, markets, blessing tea parties, national trend concerts, Song Dynasty retro parades... various activities related to the New Year are being staged in Jingshan Town, Yuhang District, Hangzhou.

On January 11, the first Zen Tea Village in Jingshan Town, Yuhang District. The “2025 ‘Song’ Fu Hangzhou Year·Jingshan Tea Drinking and Jingshan Blessings Series of Activities” officially kicked off. The event is sponsored by the People's Government of Jingshan Town, Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, and the Management Committee of Jingshan Tourism Resort, Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, and hosted by Jingshan Village, Jingshan Town, Yuhang District.

In the morning, the sound of tea drums boomed throughout the village at the foot of Jingshan Mountain. The village is full of elements related to "Fu", such as the Fu Market welcoming guests and the Fu Wall waiting for people to leave their words. The word "Fu" is written on lanterns everywhere, and there are blessing flags flying on both sides of the street. Tourists who are taking photos and checking in follow the sound of tea drums.

The "Tea Doctor" carrying a retro tea basket appears in front of people-The tea basket has a history, as it is a replica of the famous painting "Tea Garden Gambling Market" by Liu Songnian, a painter from the Song Dynasty. This is the earliest painting discovered so far that reflects the tea drinking customs of ancient Chinese people. Following closely, the tea-serving lady carried tea cups and served matcha to the people at the scene.

The origin of Jingshan Zen Tea dates back nearly 1,300 years. The blessing activity, which symbolizes the cultivation of blessings, naturally kicked off in this most representative local cultural heritage.

"Blessings and wisdom are passed down from generation to generation", the ink rhythm spreads across the paper. The abbot of Jingshan Zen Temple, Master Jiexing, wrote and released the Jingshan "Annual Blessing" of the Year of Yisi on the spot. Master Jie Xing said: "In today's blessing activity, Jingshan Zen Temple is giving "wisdom and blessings" to everyone. We hope that everyone can pass on the blessings from generation to generation and make their families happier and more complete."

In 2024, the number of tourists to Jingshan Town exceeded 6.41 million, and tourism revenue reached 658 million yuan, an increase of 8.2% and 8% year-on-year respectively.
